Smart WFM launches Service On Demand to help organisations manage workforce during pandemic and beyond

Written by Jarrod McGrath | April 08, 2020

Initial three services to focus on workforce enablement, industry best practice and Kronos-specific consultation

SYDNEY, Australia – 8 April, 2020 – Australian strategic HR workforce management consultancy, Smart WFM, today launched a new set of on-demand services to simplify workforce management resulting from the sudden transition to work-from-home. The services are aimed at creating flexibility to cater for service disruption and help guide organisations through the new ways of work brought on by COVID-19.

Service On Demand will be provided remotely by Smart WFM via a secure platform. It will be guaranteed by service-level agreements (SLA) and provided under flexible commercial models.

“Having visibility over your people, processes and technology has never been more important,” said Jarrod McGrath, founder and CEO of Smart WFM.

“We’re essentially offering the type of advisory and consultation services traditionally only used by huge companies with enormous budgets, but now as and when businesses need it and in line with the ever-changing environment. For example, organisations can now gain insights by simply adding their business data to our platform and instantly generating financial models that include ROI, cashflow and net present value (NPV) reflecting the changing workforce.”

The company will initially launch three new services, with a view to adding to this in the coming weeks and months:

  1. Workforce Help On Demand – Focuses on people, processes and technology and will help customers improve productivity, payment compliance and experience. For example, businesses and staff adjusting to working from home or helping businesses and their workforces get up and running again after COVID-19.

  2. Business Case On Demand – Helps organisations quickly identify industry-specific best practice and enables transparency across the organisation. Delivered through Smart WFM’s Apitome software suite.

  3. Kronos Service On Demand – Provides certified consultation across Kronos products including Workforce Dimensions, Workforce Central and Workforce Ready.

Initial consultations for both new and existing customers will be offered free of charge to help them manage their immediate workforce management concerns, with commercial agreements developed for more extensive projects. Smart WFM’s consultation team has all the necessary Kronos, Dell Boomi and other relevant vendor certificates in place.

“While this is being deployed to address the immediate crisis, we expect the services and nature in which they’re delivered to be permanent,” added McGrath.

“We will see long-lasting changes in how people and businesses interact, and staff are unlikely to return exactly to pre-pandemic workforce management and human resources models. That in turn will change how those services are delivered.”

Smart WFM will donate a portion of revenue from the new services to the Cathy Freeman Foundation as part of its commitment to the Pledge 1% initiative.
