The Canberra Times: Wondering where last week's pay went? You're not alone, Jarrod McGrath

People in Australia are rightfully rejoicing new laws passed by the Government that instil a right to disconnect from work. This is a much-needed response at a time when the lines between people’s work and private life have been so dramatically blurred. But unfortunately, it doesn’t change the disconnect that means if you’re on the payroll in Australia, you’re probably not getting paid correctly.

There is no traceability between the various systems organisations use to pay their staff, which can lead to people being under (or even over) paid, as organisations break compliance and find themselves on the wrong side of their own policies, not to mention those of the Fair Work Commission.
