Meet Isa Suyom: WFM Consultant

Written by Isa Suyom | January 22, 2024

Superpower

Throughout my professional IT career, I have worked on several roles within SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). I became a Software Developer, Business Analyst, Functional and Performance Tester, and Project Manager. Now as a Consultant, having exposure in these roles enabled me to communicate effectively among different types of stakeholders – from functional to technical, from end users to Chief-level officers. I have strong time management and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details, driven by my passion to deliver quality and valuable results.

About

I am a doting partner and mother to my two children. I enjoy working remotely because I get a little bit more time nurturing my family – preparing meals and supporting them with their studies and hobbies. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and ensuring that our home is as cozy as possible.

Outside of work and the kitchen, I am a part-time consultant for my son who loves developing games in Roblux Studio and maintaining his gaming YouTube channel; and a part-time chauffer/coach/cheerleader for my daughter who’s a competitive gymnast.

I love children! If I have not pursued my current career, I would have been a pre-school teacher teaching alphabet, numbers, and good manners.

Born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I will be moving permanently with my small family to Melbourne in July 2024.

Professional details

I have earned Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in 2009.

I have started out my career as a software developer developing in-house applications for a local life insurance company. I then explored roles within business analysis, testing and project management for multinational companies, mostly European and North American clients.

After all these trials, I figured that I loved all these roles so I searched for one where I can continue to do all with perfect balance between technical (because I get bored when things are too functional) and functional (because I get overwhelmed when things are too technical).

I started consulting work in 2018 and still enjoying it to this day. I have been working with Australian clients since 2022.

My greatest drive is bringing value to my customers – giving them more efficient ways to perform their day-to-day work.
